Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian, and that they have read and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements. We reserve the right to request verification of age at any time.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date

You agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information when registering
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Share your account credentials with third parties
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice where necessary to protect the Platform or its users.

Athlion provides a platform for:

• Athletes to upload videos, build profiles, and be discovered by scouts, clubs, and fans
• Users to browse, view, follow, and interact with sports-related content

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We will endeavour to provide reasonable advance notice of material changes where practicable.

Access to certain features may require registration or be subject to additional terms.

Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Platform ("User Content"), including videos, images, and profile information.

Licence to Athlion

By uploading User Content, you grant Athlion a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, host, store, reproduce, distribute, display, and adapt your User Content solely in connection with operating, improving, and promoting the Platform. This licence continues for as long as your content remains on the Platform.

Content Removal & Account Deletion

You may delete your User Content at any time via your account settings. Upon account deletion, your User Content will be removed from public view. Residual copies may be retained for a limited period for legal, compliance, or technical reasons, after which they will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You agree not to upload, post, or share content that:

• Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, or abusive
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party
• Contains hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
• Includes copyrighted material without appropriate permission or a valid licence
• Contains sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate material
• Promotes dangerous activities or self-harm
• Is spam, misleading, or deceptive

We may remove content or restrict accounts at our sole discretion, without prior notice, where we believe these rules have been violated. We are not obligated to monitor all User Content but reserve the right to do so.

All rights in the Platform (excluding User Content), including but not limited to software, source code, branding, trade marks, design, and documentation, are owned by or licensed to Athlion LTD.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
• Use our trade marks, logos, or branding without prior written consent
• Frame or mirror any part of the Platform without authorisation

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its systems
• Use bots, scraping tools, crawlers, or automated means to access the Platform
• Introduce malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to cause harm
• Exploit the Platform for unsanctioned commercial purposes
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform
• Harvest or collect personal data of other users without their consent

The Platform may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, or applications. These are provided for convenience only. Athlion has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content or practices of any third-party services.

Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and you engage with them at your own risk.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform:

• If you breach these Terms or our Community Guidelines
• If required to do so by law or a regulatory authority
• At our discretion where we determine it is necessary to protect the Platform, other users, or third parties

You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that arose prior to termination. Sections 4, 6, 10, 11, and 14 survive termination of these Terms.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not warrant that:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Content on the Platform is accurate, complete, or up to date
• The Platform will meet your specific requirements

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law.

To the fullest extent permitted by English law, Athlion LTD shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage
• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunity
• Content posted, uploaded, or transmitted by users
• Any loss arising from your reliance on the Platform

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £100.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Athlion LTD, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your User Content; (c) your breach of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.

Your use of the Platform is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, applicable law, or our practices. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes, for example by posting a notice on the Platform or emailing registered users.

Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the Platform.

We aim to resolve disputes informally wherever possible. If you have a concern, please contact us first at legal@athlion.co.uk and we will endeavour to resolve it within 30 days.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Athlion LTD in relation to your use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
